Spell approaches wild pockets of the suburban environment to capture the atmosphere of a place which is both familiar and removed. Using video as tool for channeling perception by examining small details of form and texture, picking up ambient sound and unexpected motion, where you enter a space and may feel a presence in the air or hear whispers in the branches of trees. Commissioned for Lighthouse Projects curated by Chris Fite-Wassilak and David Beattie. Shown as single channel video installation in caravan, Truman Brewery 2007
