The Fading Drawing images are traces left behind. Photographs appear on paper after a spell in the sun, the unfixed images that remain are in a state of fading. This project investigates notions of permanence and time passing. Originally developed as commissioned work for Fashnriot, Lost & Found issue, taking the idea of the closed book as archive and preservation and viewing the page as an act of exposure to light degrading the image. Subsequently developed into ongoing series and exhibited in various adaptations of cluster formations. Sugar paper and sunlight.
